Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, offered his heartfelt greetings to the country on the commencement of the sacred Jagannath Rath Yatra, characterizing the event as a unique coming-together of faith and devotion. Shah utilized a post on X to elaborate on the Rath Yatra’s importance, noting its essence of moving forward while honoring devotion, culture, and heritage. He offered prayers to Mahaprabhu Jagannath, Veer Balabhadra, and Mata Subhadra, praying for the welfare and progress of all. Odisha’s Chief Minister, Mohan Charan Majhi, also extended a warm welcome to the devotees, urging their participation with deep faith. The annual Rath Yatra is set to take place in Puri today, where devotees will pull the chariots of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Goddess Subhadra to the Gundicha Temple.
