The government’s Home Department cited concerns about the potential for social media to be used to spread inflammatory content and incite unrest. The order emphasizes the need to maintain peace and public order within the state. District authorities have also imposed restrictions, including curfews and limitations on public gatherings, to maintain control. Complete curfew has been implemented in Bishnupur district to manage the situation.
