A comprehensive tour of five states—Mizoram, Manipur, Assam, West Bengal, and Bihar—is on the agenda for Prime Minister Narendra Modi from September 13th to 15th. During this time, he will be involved in the launch and foundation laying of various projects, with a combined value of approximately ₹71,850 crore. The visit includes a stop in Aizawl, Mizoram, where projects worth over ₹9,000 crore will be initiated, along with a public gathering. In Manipur, the Prime Minister will be in Churachandpur to lay the foundation for projects worth over ₹7,300 crore. He will then proceed to Imphal to inaugurate projects valued at over ₹1,200 crore, followed by an address. In Assam, he will participate in the Bhupen Hazarika centenary celebrations in Guwahati and inaugurate major infrastructure and industrial development projects worth over ₹18,530 crore on September 14th. The schedule also includes the inauguration of the 16th Combined Commanders’ Conference-2025 in Kolkata, West Bengal, and the inauguration of the new terminal building of Purnea airport in Bihar. Furthermore, he will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate multiple development projects worth around ₹36,000 crore in Purnea and launch the National Makhana Board.
