The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning for heavy rainfall across North India, prompting alerts in several states. Regions such as Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand, and East Rajasthan are expected to face torrential rains from June 22nd to June 28th. The monsoon has already progressed into Himachal Pradesh, the entire Ladakh & Kashmir, Jammu, and parts of Punjab. Delhi/NCR can expect heavy downpours by June 24th. Furthermore, the Weather Department has cautioned about potential thunderstorms, lightning, and heavy rainfall in Northeast India over the next week. Residents are urged to take necessary precautions and be prepared for potential traffic issues and waterlogging. Favorable conditions also exist for the further advance of the southwest monsoon over East, Central, and West India, impacting Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, and Odisha.
