A student at IIT Kharagpur, studying electrical engineering, has died after allegedly choking on medicine. Chandradeep Pawar, a second-year student, took the medication, prescribed by a doctor, after his dinner. The tablet became lodged in his throat, and despite attempts to save him at B.C. Roy Hospital on campus, he was declared dead.
Separately, Delhi Police are investigating the death of a 39-year-old man who was stabbed to death by three minors in the Welcome area. The incident occurred on Monday night. The victim was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead. Police have arrested the three minors involved, who are all residents of the Welcome area, and recovered the weapon used in the crime. The Delhi Police stated that the incident stemmed from a minor disagreement.
