Following the Meghalaya honeymoon murder, the police confirmed that Sonam Raghuvanshi and her partner have admitted their roles in the crime. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has rejected the family’s demand for a narco test, asserting they possess sufficient evidence. Police Superintendent Vivek Syiem stated the narco test was unnecessary because the suspects had already confessed. He explained that the Supreme Court has effectively banned the use of narco-analysis results in court. The investigation revealed that the primary motive was not financial gain, but rather to remove the victim from their relationship and future business ventures. The police are now looking into Lokendra Tomar’s involvement, who owns a flat in Indore where Sonam stayed. The authorities are investigating the missing bag from the apartment, believed to contain a pistol, phone, jewelry, and cash. Two individuals are under scrutiny for possible evidence tampering. The police are also trying to recover the stolen jewelry. Property dealer Silome James, security guard Balveer, and Lokendra Tomar are scheduled to appear in a Shillong court, where James and Balveer will face additional questioning.
