The mother of Raja Raghuvanshi has expressed her profound grief and demanded the strictest possible punishment for the individuals accused in her son’s murder. Uma Raghuvanshi wants justice and believes the accused should face the death penalty. ‘I want justice for my son. The accused should be hanged,’ she insisted. She suspects more individuals were part of the conspiracy. Reflecting on her daughter-in-law, Sonam, she mentioned the family’s initial delight in welcoming her, overlooking her past. The last contact with Raja was on May 23rd, and she was unaware of any issues. Raja’s brother, Vipin Raghuvanshi, has alleged that Sonam staged her surrender, indicating that more than five individuals were involved. The case involves four accused, including Anand, who are currently in transit remand. The Meghalaya Police are set to conduct further investigations. Sonam Raghuvanshi and Raj Kushwaha are considered the primary suspects. Raja Raghuvanshi was allegedly murdered during his honeymoon in Meghalaya. The post-mortem examination revealed two head injuries. Meghalaya authorities, including Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong, have confirmed the arrest of four individuals and are searching for additional suspects. Sonam Raghuvanshi surrendered to the police, and all those arrested will be brought to Shillong for further inquiry.
