Details have emerged regarding Sonam Raghuvanshi’s surrender in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, with her brother, Govind, sharing his experience. He was deeply moved when Sonam contacted him after a period exceeding two weeks. Sonam was found near a dhaba on the Varanasi-Ghazipur road on Monday and was subsequently sent to Sadar Hospital and then the Sakhi One Stop centre. Meghalaya Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong previously noted that while multiple individuals were caught during a late-night operation, Sonam turned herself in.
Govind remained tight-lipped regarding the specifics of his sister’s case. He did, however, provide insight into Sonam’s state during their phone conversation. He shared that he contacted the police after their call, and law enforcement ensured her safe transport. He stated, “When she called me, I got emotional, and later informed the police. Until I meet her (Sonam), I cannot say anything. For the last 72 hours, I have been awake. It’s been 20 days since I met her.”
