The fraudulent activities focused on special pujas and offerings, with the criminals exploiting the religious sentiments of the devotees. The Chikkamagaluru police, acting on numerous complaints, apprehended Sudeep and Anil Kumar from Telangana. The fraudulent operation involved the website www.Devaseva.com. Authorities are currently interrogating the arrested individuals to uncover the details of their operation, including the identification of other participants and the tracing of the illicit funds. Additionally, the police have advised devotees to be cautious and verify information from official sources before making online donations or payments for religious services.
