After an eight-month delay, the Bandikui-Jaipur Expressway is now finished. This 67-km route is engineered to allow a 30-minute journey from Bandikui to Jaipur. With a budget of approximately ₹1,368 crore, the project features a four-lane access-controlled highway, accommodating speeds up to 120 kmph.
The expressway is divided between Dausa and Jaipur districts, covering 32.7 km and 34.1 km, respectively. There are five toll plazas, including a virtual one at Shyamsinghpura. A one-way trip for car drivers will cost about ₹150. While the original completion date was November 2024, the project was delayed. However, construction is now finished, and road safety audits have been completed. The inauguration date is awaiting approval from the Union Road Transport Ministry.
The expressway is expected to open to the public by June 2025. It will not only speed up travel between Bandikui and Jaipur but also boost connections to Delhi-NCR. Starting from Bagrana on the Jaipur-Agra Road, this new route will enable travelers to reach Delhi in roughly two and a half to three hours.
