A Delhi-bound Air India flight carrying KC Venugopal, along with other Members of Parliament and numerous passengers, was diverted to Chennai due to a technical issue and adverse weather. The flight, AI 2455, experienced turbulence soon after taking off from Thiruvananthapuram. Venugopal shared his account of the incident, highlighting a flight signal fault announcement and the subsequent diversion. The aircraft reportedly circled the airport for almost two hours before a critical landing attempt that was aborted due to another aircraft on the runway. The captain’s prompt action was credited with saving lives. Air India stated the diversion was a precautionary measure related to a suspected technical problem and ATC instructions.
