Gangsters in Gurugram, Haryana, have escalated their activities, with several high-profile individuals becoming targets. The latest incident involves YouTuber Elvish Yadav, whose home was attacked with gunfire on Sunday morning. This event has heightened the sense of unease among local residents. The attack on Elvish’s residence followed a similar incident where singer Rahul Fazilpuria’s car was fired upon.
Earlier, on July 14, about a month before the attack on Elvish, Bollywood singer Rahul Fazilpuria’s car was targeted by gunfire. The financiers of Fazilpuria were murdered, an act that was claimed by gangster Sunil Sardhania of the Himanshu Bhau gang.
Gurugram Police are actively investigating the individuals and motives behind the attack on Elvish. They are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the area surrounding Elvish’s residence and collecting forensic evidence.
Fazilpuria and Elvish share a close friendship. Fazilpuria was provided with two police personnel for security due to threats from the Lawrence gang. Fazilpuria rose to fame with his song ‘Ladki Beautiful, Kar Gayi Chull’ featured in the Bollywood film ‘Kapoor & Sons’. His name had also surfaced in an illegal snake venom trade case involving Elvish Yadav, resulting in inquiries from the ED.
The police are investigating all angles to connect the incident with the firing at Elvish’s residence. Elvish, however, had not received any prior threats before the incident.
The firing at Elvish’s house took place in Sector 56, Gurugram, where Elvish resides with his family. Three masked individuals initiated a barrage of gunfire at approximately 5:30 AM this morning. Elvish’s parents and caretaker were present at the time of the attack, while Elvish is currently overseas. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
The shooting occurred on the ground and first floors of Elvish Yadav’s home. Gurugram police are present at the scene. Preliminary investigations point towards three people on a motorcycle as the perpetrators.
