BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has accused the Congress party of corruption, referencing events from seven decades ago. Dubey’s claims center on the alleged sale of the Mining and Petroleum Ministry to Serajuddin in 1956. He claims that this act occurred when the party was in power, accusing them of being driven by wealth. Dubey’s claims are supported by documents from the time, allegedly showing the sale. He further stated that Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru himself admitted to the sale in Lok Sabha. According to Dubey, the company involved, Serajuddin & Company, was known for acquiring manganese ore leases. Furthermore, Dubey pointed out that K.D. Malaviya, the then minister, was investigated, resulting in multiple charge sheets and his subsequent resignation. The allegations extend to the Gandhi family, with Dubey claiming they were jailed in the Mumbai High oil scam of 1977. In 1980, the case was allegedly withdrawn to protect the family. Additionally, Dubey had previously accused the Congress of imprisoning Maharani Gayatri Devi of Jaipur and her son, Colonel Bhawani Singh in 1975. He claims this was motivated by Indira Gandhi’s jealousy. The Congress has dismissed his previous accusations as baseless, and they have not yet commented on the new claims. Some social media users have questioned Dubey, asking about his accomplishments during his tenure.
