In a shocking case of violence, a man in Tamil Nadu, identified as K Kolanji, is accused of murdering his wife and her alleged lover by beheading them. The incident took place in Kallakurichi district. Kolanji, a 60-year-old daily wage worker, later arrived at Vellore central prison carrying the victims’ severed heads and surrendered to the police. The deceased were identified as K Lakhmi, aged 40, and K Thanjarasu, aged 50. The double homicide came to light after neighbors found the headless bodies on the terrace of Kolanji’s residence and notified the police. A team, including Kallakurichi DSP S Thangavel, responded to the scene and began an inquiry. A sniffer dog was used to assist with evidence gathering. The bodies were taken for postmortem examination. Kolanji has been arrested and charged. He admitted to the murders, claiming they were motivated by the couple’s refusal to end their affair. The weapon used in the crime has been recovered by the authorities.
