A significant claim has emerged from within the Karnataka Congress, with MLA Basavaraju V Shivaganga stating that DK Shivakumar is slated to become the Chief Minister after December. Shivakumar, also the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President, views this as a breach of party protocol and plans to issue a formal notice to the MLA. Shivaganga, representing Channagiri, made this announcement in Davanagere, reiterating his belief that Shivakumar will take over the CM’s office after the end of the year.
This isn’t the first time the MLA has alluded to a change in leadership, suggesting that Shivakumar’s time in the top position is imminent.
