Authorities in Gurugram are investigating the abduction and sexual assault of an eight-year-old girl by a delivery boy. The incident occurred on Wednesday, with the girl being taken while on her way to participate in the Kanjak ritual. The police were notified of the missing child after she failed to return home. Following the report, five police teams were formed to conduct a search. The girl was found unconscious approximately 20 hours after the abduction, about five kilometers away from her residence. The police investigation began with interviews with people in the area, which led to the identification of a suspect. Police investigations revealed a young man was seen with the girl on a green scooter. After a search of the area, using CCTV footage, the girl was found in Sector 95, five kilometers from her home, on Thursday morning. The victim was taken to the hospital and examined. The medical examination confirmed the sexual assault, and the suspect was charged under the POCSO Act and other relevant sections. The suspect, a 21-year-old delivery worker, was identified using CCTV footage. Interrogation revealed that the suspect had enticed the girl with food before abducting and assaulting her. The suspect admitted he had approached two other children earlier the same day but released them before the assault on the eight-year-old.
