Schools in the Delhi-NCR region are closed on September 3rd due to heavy rain and thunderstorms, according to the IMD’s orange alert. The inclement weather, which caused flooding in areas like Gurugram and Ghaziabad, has prompted the closures of both government and private schools. The Delhi government has not officially declared a holiday, however, it remains a possibility depending on the ongoing rain. The Punjab government has prolonged the closure of all schools through September 3rd because of the ongoing flood. Moreover, in Jammu and Kashmir, all Class 10th and 11th exams slated for September 3rd have been postponed owing to the bad weather and intense rainfall.
