Defense Minister Rajnath Singh celebrated Vijaya Dashami with Indian soldiers, participating in festivities and addressing the troops in Bhuj, Gujarat. On the eve of the festival, Singh engaged with armed forces personnel at a traditional ‘Bada Khana’.
During his address, Singh discussed the evolving nature of global challenges, highlighting the quick pace of technological advancements. He pointed out that modern technologies quickly become obsolete, necessitating continuous adaptation.
The Defense Minister noted the emergence of new threats, including terrorism, cyber warfare, and information warfare, which require a multi-faceted response. He stated that overcoming these challenges demands mental fortitude, up-to-date knowledge, and the ability to adapt swiftly, in addition to military capabilities.
Offering his wishes for Vijaya Dashami, Singh described the festival as a celebration of good triumphing over evil. He praised the soldiers in Bhuj for their bravery and resilience. He encouraged the soldiers to prioritize continuous training, adopt new technologies, and stay prepared for any scenario. Singh emphasized that victory in war hinges not only on weaponry but also on discipline, morale, and consistent preparedness.
He urged the soldiers to embrace technological advancements and integrate training into their routines, highlighting that the armed forces that constantly learn and adapt are the ones that remain undefeated. Singh also assured the soldiers that the government is fully dedicated to their well-being, modernization efforts, honoring veterans, and ensuring the safety of soldiers’ families. He reiterated that the well-being of the soldiers is a top priority.
Singh emphasized that the aspiration for a robust, self-reliant, and developed India is dependent on the soldiers. He stated that their dedication and sacrifices are instrumental in realizing this vision daily. He declared that the 21st century is India’s century and that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the nation is rapidly progressing toward self-reliance in defense. He expressed confidence that with the dedication of the armed forces, India will soon possess one of the world’s premier militaries.
