CP Radhakrishnan, the NDA candidate, won the Vice Presidential election against INDIA’s Sudarshan Reddy by a margin of 152 votes. Radhakrishnan received 452 votes, while Reddy got 300. The INDIA alliance, with 315 MPs, expressed concerns about the lower-than-expected vote count. This triggered accusations of cross-voting by some MPs. It’s believed that 10 to 13 MPs from the Maha Vikas Aghadi voted in favor of the NDA. INDIA is currently trying to ascertain which parties the MPs who cross-voted belonged to. The election saw 752 valid votes and 15 invalid ones. Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut disputed the claims of cross-voting, suggesting it was being propagated by the NDA. He stated that the alliance received 300 votes, and the 15 invalid votes were against Sudarshan Reddy, though declared invalid for some reason.
