A political storm has been ignited following allegations that Rahul Gandhi used abusive language towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother during a voter rights yatra in Bihar. The BJP has responded with strong condemnation, accusing the Congress of reaching a new low in political discourse. The BJP asserted that the remarks surpassed all boundaries of disrespect and incitement.
The BJP, through its social media channels, specifically criticized the language used from the campaign stage by Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav, targeting the late mother of PM Modi. They emphasized that such a display of degradation had never been witnessed in the political arena. The party declared the campaign’s actions as a culmination of insult, hate, and a blatant disregard for decency.
Further, the BJP’s statement accused Rahul Gandhi of orchestrating the use of offensive language against PM Modi’s mother from the campaign platform. The party highlighted that Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav had previously drawn criticism for including leaders who had previously insulted the people of Bihar in their campaign. They described the situation as a sign of desperation, culminating in the use of abusive language against the Prime Minister’s mother.
The BJP went on to claim that the severity of the language used by Tejashwi and Rahul made it impossible to reiterate it publicly. They added that even a thousand apologies would not be enough for the people of Bihar to forgive such actions, which they deemed extremely shameful.
Krishna Singh Kallu, a member of the Bihar BJP executive, has lodged a complaint against Rahul Gandhi at a Patna police station regarding the matter. The complaint alleges that Rahul Gandhi has been making derogatory remarks about the Prime Minister and Home Minister. The BJP leader further highlighted that the incident occurred at a Congress-led event in Darbhanga where abusive language was allegedly used against the Prime Minister and his mother, leading to an FIR being filed.
Chirag Paswan also weighed in on the situation, expressing strong disapproval of the language used by the opposition. He emphasized that such language is unacceptable and undermines the standards of political discourse. He added that abusing the Prime Minister is inappropriate and cannot be condoned. He questioned whether the individuals using such language are representatives of the opposition. He also expressed the view that targeting someone’s family in politics is unethical and undemocratic. He accused the opposition of engaging in corruption and declared that they would focus on the EVM and voter list. Paswan also cautioned that the Congress is leading the country toward chaos.
