The Congress party, led by Alka Lamba, has leveled serious accusations of vote manipulation against the BJP in the Bihar elections. Lamba highlighted instances of alleged voter fraud, claiming that Narendra Modi and the Election Commission orchestrated ‘vote theft’. Specific examples include multiple registrations at the same address, duplicate entries in the voter list, and the inclusion of deceased individuals, as revealed in the final voter list. Lamba pointed out that these were only a fraction of the irregularities, suggesting a widespread pattern of deceit. She asserted that the BJP and the Election Commission are attempting to undermine the democratic process by removing the voting rights of citizens. Lamba also criticized the removal of approximately 23 lakh women from the voter list in Bihar. This action, she argued, is unconstitutional and aims to disenfranchise a significant portion of the electorate. The Congress party is conducting a nationwide signature campaign against the alleged ‘vote theft,’ aiming to collect 5 crore signatures. Lamba also questioned how these votes were valid in previous elections, asking if the same ‘fraudulent’ votes were used to elect the current government. She vowed to expose the alleged conspiracy of adding and removing names from the voter list.
