Raipur, October 4, 2025/ Union Home Minister Mr. Amit Shah and State Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Dev Sai participated in the Muriya Durbar organized at Sirhasar Bhavan, Jagdalpur on the occasion of Bastar Dussehra festival. After lighting the lamp on the picture of Maa Danteshwari, the revered deity of Bastar, Union Home Minister Mr. Amit Shah, while having a direct dialogue with Manjhi-Chalki, appealed for cooperation in ending Maoism from Bastar. He said that the children who have taken up arms by joining Maoism should be explained to return to the mainstream and take advantage of the government’s schemes.
Union Home Minister Mr. Shah said that Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi is determined to develop Bastar and end Naxalism.
Union Home Minister Mr. Amit Shah, while interacting with Manjhi-Chalki, said that Bastar will be freed from Naxalism by March 2026. He said that we want the youth of Bastar to become doctors, engineers, Deputy Collectors and Collectors and serve the entire Chhattisgarh. It is the responsibility of all of us that the youth should not join Naxalism and those who have joined should surrender and return to the mainstream. Wherever Naxalism has ended, the Chhattisgarh government is doing development work rapidly and is benefiting the people from government schemes.
Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Dev Sai, while addressing Manjhi-Chalki in Muriya Durbar, said that the government is committed to making the Bastar Dussehra festival even grander. The amount given for Bastar Dussehra is being increased from Rs 25 lakh to Rs 50 lakh. Along with this, the development and construction work of the traditional sites of Bastar Dussehra festival, Jiya Dera, Madia Sarai etc. are also being ensured.
On this occasion, Union Home Minister Mr. Amit Shah, Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Dev Sai and other guests were warmly welcomed by the traditional members of the Bastar Dussehra Committee, Manjhi-Chalki, Member-Memberin and Naik-Pike by wearing traditional turbans and garlands.
Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Sharma and MP and President of Bastar Dussehra Committee Mr. Mahesh Kashyap also addressed the Muriya Durbar.
