Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah chaired a review meeting on Naxalism with DGP/ADGPs and senior officials of Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Jharkhand and Odisha in Raipur.
The Union Home Minister said that he appeals to the Naxalites to take advantage of the surrender policy and join the mainstream by laying down their arms.

The Home Minister said that I repeat with confidence that the country will be free from Naxalism by March 31, 2026.
Raipur, June 22, 2025/ Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah chaired a review meeting on Naxalism in Raipur with DGP/ADGPs and senior officials of Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Jharkhand and Odisha.
The Union Home Minister said that in the last one and a half years, the biggest achievement of the government of Shri Vishnudev Ji and Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Shri Vijay Sharma Ji is that they have accelerated a stalled anti-Naxal operation and moved forward in the direction of freeing the state from Naxalism. He said that Shri Vishnudev Ji and Shri Vijay Sharma Ji not only gave impetus to the anti-Naxal operations, but also guided this campaign from time to time, boosted the morale of the security forces and made a huge contribution in this fight with completeness.
The Union Home and Cooperation Minister reiterated with confidence that the country will be completely free from Naxalism by March 31, 2026. He said that based on the way our security forces have displayed valor and the information agencies have made precise strategies, we will definitely achieve this goal. He said that the Naxalites who take rest during the rainy season every year will not be able to sleep peacefully this monsoon because the operation of our security forces will continue.
The Union Home and Cooperation Minister appealed to all the youth who have strayed on the path of Naxalism to lay down their arms and take advantage of the state government’s surrender policy. Appealing to the youth, he said that they will not get a better opportunity than this to join the development journey. Shri Shah said that the youth who are on the path of violence should trust the government and join the mainstream of the society. In this way, they will automatically join the development journey of the country. Shri Shah said that the promise made by the government to the surrendered Naxalites will be fulfilled and efforts will be made to provide more assistance.
