Strict Stance on Board Examination Results in Mahasamund: Chief Minister Had Expressed Displeasure

Raipur, May 10, 2025 / The effect of Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai’s zero tolerance policy and result-oriented work style is now clearly visible. The School Education Department of the State Government today made it clear that negligence, inactivity, and poor performance in the education system will no longer be acceptable at any level by transferring the District Education Officer posted in Mahasamund district.

According to the order issued by the School Education Department, Principal Mr. M.R. Sawant, In-charge District Education Officer, Mahasamund District, has been removed from his post and posted as Assistant Director in the Office of the Divisional Joint Director, Education Department, Jagdalpur. In his place, Principal Mr. Vijay Kumar Lahre, working as Block Education Officer, Nawagarh (Janjgir-Champa), has been appointed as In-charge District Education Officer, Mahasamund. At the same time, Mr. Bhupendra Kumar Kaushik has been appointed as the Block Education Officer of Nawagarh development block in Janjgir Champa district.

This decision comes after a review meeting in which Chief Minister Mr. Sai expressed deep displeasure over the poor results of the board examination in Mahasamund district. In the review meeting held in Mahasamund during the third phase of Sushasan Tihar (Good Governance Festival), Chief Minister Mr. Sai had clearly stated that no compromise would be made with the quality of education. He had given a stern warning to all the District Education Officers and directed them to bring about improvement. This action taken by the School Education Department shows that Chief Minister Mr. Sai’s government believes in a result-oriented work style and is committed to taking every necessary step to improve the education system in the state.
