The auspicious month of Sawan witnessed a huge gathering of devotees at the Bhuteshwarnath Dham, home to the self-manifested Shivalinga. From early morning, pilgrims, Kanwariyas, and families participated in the holy rituals of Jalabhishek (offering water) and worship. According to local priests, the Shivalinga is ‘swayambhu’, spontaneously emerged from nature. It is constantly increasing in size, now measuring about 80 feet in height and 210 feet in circumference, reflecting the deep faith of the devotees. The air was filled with the chants of “Har Har Mahadev” and “Bol Bam” as devotees performed Rudrabhishek with holy water. Many carried Kanwars on their shoulders as they walked to the temple, continuing a tradition that has been followed for generations. The Shri Bhuteshwarnath Yuva Bhandara Committee organized a large-scale distribution of free food and provided first aid to approximately 10,000 devotees on this special day, showcasing a beautiful blend of devotion and service. Devotees believe that sincere prayers offered at Bhuteshwarnath are answered, leading to fulfillment of their wishes. Several families offered special prayers for their well-being, wealth, and happiness.
