Chief Minister Shri Sai paid tribute to Padma Shri Dr. Surendra Dubey
Raipur, July 9, 2025 / Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai today attended the condolence meeting of the famous poet Padma Shri Dr. Surendra Dubey, held in the auditorium of Shri Salasar Balaji Dham located at Jora, Raipur. The Chief Minister paid tribute to the late Dr. Dubey by offering flowers on his photograph. He prayed to God to give the departed soul a place at his feet and to give patience and strength to the bereaved families in this hour of grief.
Addressing the condolence meeting, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Dr. Surendra Dubey, a poet of national repute in the field of humor and satire, was a true son of Chhattisgarh Mother. This great poet, who made everyone laugh, has left us in tears today. Through his unique poetic talent, he enhanced the pride of Chhattisgarh not only across the country but also at the international level. His sudden demise is an irreparable loss for the entire state and the literary world, the compensation of which is impossible.
The Chief Minister said that in his long public life, he had participated in many Kavi Sammelans, and there was hardly any major event where Dr. Dubey was not present. He used to get special respect from the distinguished poets of the country on every platform.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao also paid tribute to the late Dr. Surendra Dubey, saying that he was not just a poet, but a lively and energetic personality. He gave respect to the Chhattisgarhi language and culture through his creations. He not only made people laugh by roaming from corner to corner of the state, but also awakened social consciousness. On this occasion, the family members of Dr. Surendra Dubey and other dignitaries were present.
