The small village of Kharga in Kota block of Bilaspur district is now shining with the new light of education. In the eyes of Poonam Dhritlahare, a student of the Government Primary School of this village, both confidence and hope now shine. Hardworking and intelligent Poonam has been ahead in studies from the beginning, but for a long time this school was a single-teacher school, due to which her and her friends’ education was being affected. The children were gradually losing enthusiasm due to not being able to get answers to difficult questions and some were even thinking of leaving school.
The rationalization done by the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has given a new direction to the lives of the children of this village. With the appointment of Shri Mukesh Kumar Yadav along with the previously employed teacher Shri Santosh Kumar Khande in the school, new energy and a better teaching environment came in the classrooms. The presence of two teachers not only improved the quality of education, but also increased the children’s engagement with the school.
Poonam and her classmates say that now they have learned to solve difficult questions and are enjoying studying. Parents have also appreciated this decision of the Chief Minister, saying that now their children are getting regular and quality education, due to which they will also be able to see and fulfill big dreams like the children of the city.
When teachers reach on time in small villages like Kharga, this change is not limited to just one school, but gives direction to the future of the entire village. Today, Poonam and her companions are not only studying with dedication, but are also ready to illuminate the name of their village and state in the coming time.
