A disturbing case has emerged from Balodabazar-Bhatapara, Chhattisgarh, involving the murder of a man by a 14-year-old girl. The victim had consistently objected to the girl’s mobile phone usage. This persistent scolding prompted the minor to fatally attack the man with a ‘tangiya’. The incident occurred on August 12th in Amera village. Police were informed that a man had been murdered, with head and facial injuries. The deceased was identified as Purushottam Yadav, found dead on his veranda. The Palari police initiated an investigation under Section 103(1) BNS. Superintendent of Police, Bhavna Gupta, ordered a thorough investigation, with the FSL team examining the crime scene. The police questioned individuals, including neighbors and relatives. The 14-year-old girl was questioned, and initially appeared hesitant, changing her statements. Upon being questioned using psychological methods, she confessed to the murder of Purushottam Yadav. The girl stated that the victim frequently scolded her for using her phone. Feeling angered, she attacked him with an iron ‘tangiya’, leading to his death. The girl was arrested and presented before the court.
