The Supreme Court is set to hear a case concerning the alleged swapping of newborns. A couple has accused a private hospital in Raipur of exchanging their babies. The petition, which the court will address in four weeks, alleges that a baby boy was swapped for a girl shortly after birth. The plaintiffs are also seeking an FIR against the hospital in question. The case challenges an order by the Chhattisgarh High Court, which had declined to direct an FIR against the hospital’s director and his wife, who is a gynecologist at the same hospital, for allegedly abducting a child.
