A CRPF jawan in the Injram area of Sukma district ended his life by shooting himself, leading to a flurry of activity. High-ranking police officials arrived at the scene immediately and the body was sent for a post-mortem. An investigation has been launched to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.
The incident reportedly took place around 10:30 PM last night. Nilesh Kumar Garg, a member of the 219th Battalion of the CRPF, used his service rifle to commit suicide. The deceased hailed from Katni, Madhya Pradesh.
A six-page suicide note was reportedly found near the jawan. CRPF authorities are actively investigating the case.
