Storage of more than 3 lakh nano DAP bottles so far: Farmers benefit of Rs 75 per acre from nano DAP
Farmers were told about the beneficial use of nano DAP: Farmers were taught the scientific use of nano DAP by giving demos in the fields
Raipur, July 23, 2025/ To fulfill the potential shortage of solid DAP fertilizer for farming in the current Kharif season, the state government has made adequate arrangements for alternative fertilizers. In this series, liquid nano DAP has emerged as an effective option. By using it, farmers are getting a direct benefit of about Rs 75 per acre of paddy crop.
As per the instructions of the State Government, IFFCO company has so far ensured the storage of more than 3 lakh 5 thousand nano DAP bottles in the state. Out of these, 82 thousand 470 bottles are stored in double lock centers, 1 lakh 41 thousand 389 bottles are stored in primary cooperative agricultural credit societies and 48 thousand bottles are stored in the private sector. Currently, IFFCO company has more than 33 thousand nano DAP bottles available. One half-liter nano DAP bottle is being made available to farmers in cooperative societies at the rate of Rs 600.
According to agricultural experts, only 25 kg of solid DAP and one half-liter nano DAP bottle is sufficient in place of 50 kg of solid DAP fertilizer required for one acre of paddy crop. The price of one bag (50 kg) of solid DAP is Rs 1,350, as compared to which, using nano DAP saves Rs 75 per acre. This combination is equivalent to one bag of solid DAP from a nutritional point of view.
Farmers have been made aware of the use of nano DAP. They were also taught its method by giving demos. The state government, anticipating the shortage of solid DAP in time, launched an intensive awareness campaign among the farmers regarding the use of nano DAP. With the help of the field staff of the Department of Agriculture, scientists of agricultural science centers and progressive farmers, the methods of combined use of nano DAP along with solid DAP were explained to the farmers in the fields.
Demos were shown to the farmers and detailed information was given through agricultural chaupals and “Developed Agricultural Sankalp Abhiyan” organized in the villages. Along with this, pamphlets, banners and posters related to nano DAP have been displayed in cooperative societies. The field staff of the Department of Agriculture are continuously visiting the fields and providing information about the use and benefits of nano DAP to the farmers, as a result of which the farmers are using nano DAP in their paddy crop with full confidence.
