Raipur, November 21, 2025/ A significant meeting of the State Level Disha Committee was held at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhavan under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai. A comprehensive and detailed review of the progress of Central and State-sponsored schemes of various departments was conducted in the meeting.
Chief Minister Shri Sai clearly instructed the officials that no eligible beneficiary should be deprived of the benefits of the schemes and the implementation of all schemes should be ensured in a timely and effective manner.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Disha Committee meetings are extremely important. Central-sponsored schemes are regularly reviewed through these meetings. He directed that Disha Committee meetings should be held compulsorily every 6 months. He informed that a total of 81 schemes are being operated under 26 departments. The Chief Minister urged the MPs to be compulsorily present in the quarterly Disha Committee meetings held at the district level.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma emphasized the regularity of meetings, better coordination, and timely implementation. He said that this committee is a major institution that determines the direction of development works.
Chief Minister Shri Sai reviewed in detail the progress of key schemes being implemented under the Panchayat and Rural Development Department—Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), National Rural Livelihoods Mission, Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana, and Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana.
The status of PM Janman, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, and Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi related to the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department was also discussed in the meeting. Chief Minister Shri Sai directed that the benefits of the schemes should be ensured for 100% eligible farmers and no eligible farmer should be deprived of benefits. He also sought information on the status of Agristech registration of forest land leaseholders during this period.
While reviewing the Dairy Holistic Development Scheme, initiated with the support of the National Dairy Development Board, Chief Minister Shri Sai expressed displeasure over the slow progress. He instructed the officials to complete the targets quickly. He also emphasized the need to connect traditional milk-producing farmers, along with beneficiaries from Scheduled Tribes, to the scheme so that the scheme gets a boost and more farmers benefit.
During the review of the Urban Administration Department, the Chief Minister took information about the progress under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), Mission Amrit, and Pradhan Mantri Svanidhi Yojana. He specially emphasized ensuring transparency and timeliness in urban housing construction.
Chief Minister Shri Sai obtained detailed information on the number of Ayushman Cards and Vaya Vandana Cards issued under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY). He directed that Ayushman Cards be provided through a special campaign in the villages of the Niyad Nella Nar area. He also stressed the need to take strict action on complaints related to Ayushman Cards and to issue a state-level helpline number for the convenience of beneficiaries.
Reviewing the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana and nutrition schemes, the Chief Minister said that the effective implementation of these schemes is extremely important. He directed to ensure excellent quality of mid-day meals.
The Chief Minister said that healthy women and healthy children are the foundation of the development of a healthy state. He inquired about the continuity of the ‘Nyota Bhoj’ initiative and encouraged public representatives and officials to participate actively.
Chief Minister Shri Sai expressed deep displeasure over the slow progress of the Bharat Net project in the telecom sector. He directed to complete the work of the fiber network quickly and to give top priority to network expansion in Bastar and remote areas. The status of works being carried out by the Railways was also sought in the meeting.
