Sports development in Chhattisgarh is our priority – Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai There is a highly enthusiastic environment for sports at the national and state level The Chief Minister inaugurated the Junior National Archery Competition Raipur 23 December 2025: Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai inaugurated the 45th NTPC Junior National Archery Competition held at the Swami Vivekanand Athletic Stadium on Kotra Road, Raipur. He extended his best wishes for the successful conduct of the 45th NTPC Junior National Archery Competition and encouraged the participants to give an excellent performance. Chief Minister Sai said that it is a privilege for Chhattisgarh that the state has been given the opportunity to host the National Tribal Games. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Sports for India is providing great opportunities for the country’s sporting talents to advance. Moreover, a better sporting climate is being created across the country and the state today. He said that the development of sports in Chhattisgarh is part of our priority. The government is providing all facilities and encouragement to all athletes to hone their talents. Chief Minister Sai also mentioned that new Sports for India facilities have been launched in Chhattisgarh district, and they are providing all necessary facilities to sports talents. A sports decoration ceremony is organized in the state to provide special motivation to the athletes. Our government will provide 2.1 million rupees to an athlete who qualifies for the Olympics. If a young athlete from our state wins a gold medal at the Olympics, he will receive 30 million rupees; for a silver medal, 20 million rupees; and for a bronze medal, 10 million rupees as incentive. Notably, the 45th NTPC Junior National Archery Competition is being organized under the auspices of the Chhattisgarh Archery Association and the Chhattisgarh Sports and Youth Welfare Department. The competition will be held from 22 to 30 December. About 500 participants from 30 states and union territories are participating. The event was attended in large numbers by athletes, coaches, managers, dignitaries, and sports lovers from various states including Shri Vikram Sisodia, Secretary General of the Chhattisgarh Olympic Association; former President and national Vice President Shri Kailash Morarka of the Chhattisgarh Archery Association; Secretary General Shri Ayush Morarka; and Shri Ishwar Prasad Agrawal.
