*Worship of agricultural implements, Gedi dance, Sawan Jhula and Ramayana पाठ will be the center of attraction like various events*
Raipur, July 24, 2025/ Hareli Tihar, a major folk festival associated with the cultural soul and agricultural tradition of Chhattisgarh, will be celebrated this year on July 24 in a traditional and joyous manner at the Chief Minister’s residence. In this special event organized by the Culture Department of the Government of Chhattisgarh, the diverse hues of public life, cultural heritage and the sense of respect for farmers will be revealed in a lively form. The Chief Minister’s residence complex has been decorated with the colors of Chhattisgarhi folk culture for the event of Hareli festival. In this environment, rich with traditional toran, green decorated doors and rural art, the real soul of Hareli can be experienced.
Gedi dance, Raut Nacha, etc. folk dances will be presented by folk artists from various regions of Chhattisgarh in the event. Sawan Jhula and Savanahi Ramayana पाठ will be the center of attraction for the audience amidst the showers of Sawan. This program will not only be a cultural event, but it will also be a vibrant celebration of the folk sentiments and traditional heritage of the state.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai will participate in this event and worship agricultural implements and tools, which has been the main tradition of Hareli festival. A detailed exhibition of traditional to modern machines will also be put up, so that the new generation will get acquainted with the agricultural traditions and mechanical progress of Chhattisgarh.
Traditional games and folk art exhibitions are also being organized for children in the program. This time, Hareli Tihar will be presented not only as a festival but also as a confluence of environment, tradition and progress.
Chief Minister Shri Sai, while wishing the people of the state on Hareli, said that Hareli festival is not only of farming and greenery, but also a celebration of coexistence with our public life, tradition and nature.
