Consumers in Chhattisgarh will receive financial support for setting up solar rooftop plants, backed by both the state and central governments. The state government will offer a subsidy of ₹15,000 for a 1 kW solar plant, while the central government will contribute ₹30,000. For installations of 3 kW or higher, the state subsidy will be ₹30,000, complemented by ₹78,000 from the central government. The subsidy amount is determined by the plant’s capacity (1, 2, 3 kW, or more).
Subsidies are extended to Housing Societies and Residential Welfare Associations. The state’s cabinet has approved the financial aid initiative through the Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Limited (CSPDCL), under the Pradhan Mantri Suryaghar Muft Bijli Yojana, with the aim of boosting renewable energy adoption and providing economic relief to electricity users.
