Raipur, June 12, 2025 / Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai inaugurated the statue of Lokmata Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar at the convention center during his visit to Korba district today and announced to name the convention center after the Maharani. On this occasion, he gifted the people of the district with 66 different development works costing more than Rs 223 crore 88 lakh.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said that Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar of Indore was a benevolent and just ruler. She did remarkable work in the field of women’s education, promoted women’s empowerment and also renovated and gave a new identity to the important pilgrimage sites and religious places of the country. On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced to make the convention center air-conditioned. He said that he had also come to Korba six months ago, during which gifts of various development works worth more than Rs 600 crore were also given. Today, the people of Korba district will benefit from the gift of development works worth two and a half hundred crore.
Chief Minister Shri Sai talked about taking necessary steps for the establishment of an aluminum park. He also planted a sindoor plant in the convention center complex under the name of a tree, Mother. He also visited the photo exhibition based on the biography of Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao and Industry Minister Shri Lakhanlal Dewangan also addressed the कार्यक्रम.
*Inauguration and foundation stone laying*
The works inaugurated by Chief Minister Shri Sai mainly include single village tap-water scheme in 11 villages under Jal Jeevan Mission, new primary health center buildings in 3 villages, Swami Atmanand Hindi Medium School new building/renovation work, and installation work of 2.4 kilowatt capacity solar power plant in 47 hostels-ashrams. Similarly, the major works of Bhoomi Pujan include 100 TPD solid waste management project for Korba Municipal Corporation, City Bus Depot-Terminal Complex under Pradhan Mantri e-Bus Seva, SNCU hall in 100 bed hospital, construction of training hall and other works, water conservation work in Ayodhyapuri pond and various works of District Mineral Institute Trust Fund and 15th Finance Commission.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai paid tribute to the victims and expressed deep condolences to them in the incident of the plane crash from Gujarat to London.
