Raipur, June 17, 2025 / Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said that the Sen Samaj is a progressive society, it has a glorious history. The contribution of this society in our social, economic, and cultural fields is incomparable. This society is making significant contributions to the progress and development of Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Shri Sai was addressing the Women District Presidents and Talent Award Ceremony of the Sen Samaj held in Raipur today. On this occasion, he announced the approval of 20 lakh rupees for the social building of the Sen Samaj in Balod city. The program was inaugurated by the Chief Minister by offering floral tributes and lighting a lamp on the portrait of Sen Maharaj.
Chief Minister Shri Sai further said in the program that education is very important for change in any society. Today, there is a need to promote women in the field of education in the society. The whole family benefits from the education of a woman. A strong society and a strong nation are possible only from an empowered woman. Our government firmly believes that women are the foundation of nation building. The Chief Minister mentioned in detail the contributions of the talents of the Sen Samaj in various fields, including the late Shri Karpoori Thakur Ji, and many others. He said that it is a matter of pleasure that the Sen Samaj is taking meaningful steps to remove social disparities. Our government is ready to provide all possible support for the development and upliftment of the Sen Samaj.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that our government is implementing various schemes to strengthen the financial condition of the state’s annadatas (farmers). Many schemes have been started for women, which are helping to empower the women of the state financially. After our government came, we implemented the Mahatari Vandan Yojana included in Modi’s guarantee. Today, 70 lakh women of the state are benefiting from it. Under the Mahatari Vandan Yojana, our government has provided economic freedom to the mothers and sisters of Chhattisgarh, so that they can play a strong role in their family and society.
Chief Minister Shri Sai further said that the central government’s Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao initiative has been started with the aim of improving the sex ratio, promoting girl child education, and developing a positive attitude towards women in society. Our daughters are our pride. Through the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao scheme, we are ensuring their education and safety. MLA Shri Purandar Mishra and Chairman of the Civil Supplies Corporation Shri Sanjay Srivastava also addressed the program.
On this occasion, talented students, artists, and women social workers of the Sen Samaj were honored with shawls and mementos. Chhattisgarh State Hair Crafts Welfare Board President Sushri Mona Sen, Chhattisgarh Sarva Sen Samaj State President Shri Puneet Sen, and a large number of social workers were present at the program.
