In a significant move to bolster development, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai initiated and announced projects worth 186 crore rupees for the Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district. The announcement was made during a program held at the Government Lochan Prasad Pandey College campus in Sarangarh. The investment includes the inauguration of development works amounting to 96 crore rupees and the foundation laying for projects valued at 90 crore rupees. Furthermore, CM Sai declared allocations of 13.40 crore rupees for various initiatives aimed at enhancing public facilities within the district.
Addressing the gathering, CM Sai reiterated the government’s commitment to deliver on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s promises. He highlighted the ongoing procurement of paddy from farmers at 3,100 rupees per quintal, with a procurement target of 21 quintals per acre. He also mentioned the approval of 18 lakh houses under the Prime Minister Awas Yojana, where construction is progressing rapidly, leading to a demand for skilled labor and materials in villages.
The Chief Minister also noted the impact of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, which provides financial support to 70 lakh women in the state. These women are utilizing the funds to start businesses. Additionally, he cited an example from Dansara, Sarangarh, where women used the scheme’s funds to initiate the construction of a Ram temple. Other initiatives include increased prices for tendu leaves and the distribution of 10,000 rupees to 5.62 lakh landless agricultural laborers. The Shri Ramlala Darshan Yojana has facilitated the pilgrimage of 22,000 devotees to Ayodhya Dham.
Revenue and District in-charge Minister Tankram Verma acknowledged the government’s efforts to accelerate development in both rural and urban areas across the state. He emphasized that the substantial investment in Sarangarh-Bilaigarh would significantly improve public amenities.
Member of Parliament Radheshyam Rathia acknowledged the focus on infrastructure development in Sarangarh-Bilaigarh, which includes road construction, improvements to education and healthcare, and the implementation of PM Awas Yojana.
Jagdalpur MLA Kiran Dev stated that the state is witnessing advancements in development under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, while also executing the welfare programs of Prime Minister Modi. The allocation of 186 crore rupees will enhance infrastructure development in Sarangarh-Bilaigarh.
Further, CM Sai announced a series of specific projects: 5 crore rupees for the construction of a Gaurav Path from Bharat Mata Chowk to Kosir Chowk, 1 crore rupees for a garden in Sarangarh municipality, 3 crore rupees for a building for the PG College, 2.5 crore rupees for the renovation of the indoor stadium, 1 crore rupees for repairing the boys’ hostel, 40 lakh rupees for constructing patient rooms in the new district hospital, and 50 lakh rupees for expanding facilities at the bus stand.
The event was attended by Chhattisgarh Housing Board Chairman Anurag Singhdev, other elected representatives, officials, and prominent citizens.
