The luxurious bungalow of the Tomar Brothers, known for their money-lending activities in Raipur, has been seized by authorities. The property in Bhathagaon held 1500 square feet for each of the brothers. The seizure followed an order from the CJM, according to the Raipur SDM. This action prevents any modifications to the property or its sale without court approval.
The police initiated the seizure with a petition, leading to a final warning from the court. The brothers were given until August 18th to present themselves in court. Prior to this, the municipal corporation demolished Rohit Tomar’s unauthorized office with a bulldozer. Both brothers have been on the run for two months.
The case began when property dealer Dashmeet Chawla filed an FIR at Telibandha police station, alleging assault by Rohit Tomar. The police have been searching for Rohit ever since. His brother, Virendra Tomar, also disappeared after Rohit went into hiding. Police teams were dispatched to several states in pursuit of the suspects, but no arrests have been made.
Victims are now overcoming their fear.
The Tomar brothers have a history of criminal behavior, and their victims were intimidated by the brothers and their associates, preventing them from reporting the crimes, even while living in the same city. Since the police started taking action against Virendra and Rohit, the victims’ fear has decreased.
More than six FIRs have been filed against the brothers, accusing them of illegal extortion, threats, and offenses under the Chhattisgarh Debtors Protection Act.
