Pendra district administration has demonstrated a firm stance on the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) within the Pendra development block, leading to disciplinary actions against several officials. Rajkumar Sharma, the secretary of Tendumuda Gram Panchayat, has been suspended for negligence and failure to perform duties properly. Simultaneously, Jyoti Kashyap, the employment assistant from the same panchayat, has received a show cause notice.
Moreover, the secretary of Thadpathra Gram Panchayat has been ordered to be transferred to a different post with immediate effect. These measures were undertaken under the direction of Surendra Prasad Vaidh, the CEO of the District Panchayat. Vaidh has unequivocally stated that any form of negligence in government schemes will not be condoned. He has cautioned all panchayat staff that stringent actions will persist against those who hinder the progress of crucial schemes like the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. This strict approach by the administration has caused a ripple effect across the panchayats, with instructions issued to the remaining panchayats to ensure timely and transparent implementation of the schemes.
