Following lapses in the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in the Pendra development block, the district administration has initiated disciplinary measures. Secretary Rajkumar Sharma of Tendumuda Gram Panchayat has been suspended for negligence and a lack of attention to duty. A show cause notice has also been served to Jyoti Kashyap, the Employment Assistant of the same panchayat.
Alongside these actions, the secretary of Thadpathra Gram Panchayat has been ordered to be transferred immediately. The decisions were made based on instructions from District Panchayat CEO Surendra Prasad Vaid. He emphasized that any form of negligence in the execution of government schemes will not be excused. All panchayat employees have been cautioned that stringent measures will be taken against those who obstruct the progress of crucial initiatives such as the PM Awas Yojana.
The administration’s strict approach has caused considerable activity within the panchayats, with others being directed to ensure timely and transparent execution of the schemes.
