In response to implementation failures concerning the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the Pendra district administration has initiated disciplinary proceedings. Secretary Rajkumar Sharma of Tendumuda Gram Panchayat has been suspended for negligence and lack of commitment. Jyoti Kashyap, the employment assistant from the same panchayat, has been served a show-cause notice.
Adding to this, directives have been issued for the immediate reassignment of the secretary of Thadpathra Gram Panchayat. The District Panchayat CEO, Surendra Prasad Vaidya, authorized these actions. Vaidya has emphasized that any form of negligence within government programs will be addressed firmly. He also cautioned all panchayat officials, indicating that stringent measures will be pursued against those who undermine the PM Awas Yojana.
The administration’s rigorous stance has led to increased activity within the panchayats, with the remaining panchayats receiving instructions to ensure the timely and transparent execution of schemes.
