Following observed lapses in the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the Pendra district administration has initiated disciplinary measures. Rajkumar Sharma, the secretary of Tendumuda Gram Panchayat, has been suspended for negligence and dereliction of duty. Moreover, Jyoti Kashyap, the employment assistant from the same panchayat, has received a show cause notice.
Adding to the repercussions, the secretary of Thadpathra Gram Panchayat has been ordered to be transferred to a different posting with immediate effect. These measures were implemented under the guidance of District Panchayat CEO Surendra Prasad Vaid, who has made it clear that any form of negligence in government schemes will not be excused. He cautioned all panchayat employees that strict action will be taken against those who hinder the progress of significant initiatives like the PM Awas Yojana. The administration’s strong stance has created a sense of urgency within the panchayats, with the remaining panchayats being directed to ensure timely and transparent execution of the schemes.
