In a tragic event, a CAF jawan stationed in the Bayaanar region of Kondagaon district in Chhattisgarh has died by suicide. The jawan, identified as Dinesh Singh Chandel, was a platoon commander at the CAF camp located in the Naxal-affected area.
The incident took place when Chandel allegedly used his service rifle to shoot himself. The gunshot caused immediate fatality, leading to a state of panic and confusion within the camp. Fellow personnel, alerted by the sound, discovered Chandel’s body at the scene.
Local police were notified, and they quickly arrived to begin their investigation. The police have secured the body and are currently awaiting the results of the post-mortem examination. As of now, the cause of the suicide remains unclear. No suicide note has been found, and authorities are currently interviewing individuals to gather more information. The incident has caused significant concern and disruption within the camp’s environment.
