Following observed lapses in the execution of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana within the Pendra development block, the district administration has initiated strong measures. Secretary Rajkumar Sharma of Tendumuda Gram Panchayat has been suspended for his negligence and lack of attention to duty. Simultaneously, a show cause notice has been served to Jyoti Kashyap, the employment assistant of the same panchayat.
In addition, orders have been given to immediately reassign the secretary of Thadpathra Gram Panchayat. The decisions were made based on the directives of District Panchayat CEO Surendra Prasad Vaidh. Vaidh has made it clear that any form of carelessness in government schemes will not be accepted. He has cautioned all panchayat personnel, emphasizing that rigorous action will continue to be taken against those who impede the progress of significant schemes like the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. The administration’s stringent approach has caused considerable reaction among the panchayats, with instructions given to other panchayats to ensure timely and transparent implementation of schemes.
