Raipur, August 14, 2025// Our tricolor is a living symbol of the years of struggle and sacrifice of our ancestors. We will all always maintain the pride of the tricolor, will never forget our immortal martyrs and together we will build a developed, prosperous and empowered Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai participated in the Independence Run organized at Marine Drive in the capital Raipur today and addressed the program. During this, he ran an independence race with thousands of youths and paid homage to Bharat Mata and the statue of the immortal martyr Rani Durgavati. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the tricolor contains the aspirations of crores of Indians and it is an indelible consciousness of our spirit of bravery, peace and prosperity. Shri Sai, while saluting the holy tricolor, said that at the call of our country’s successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the whole country has become tricolor in the last few years on Independence Day. He said that for the last few days we have all been celebrating this holy day with enthusiasm in different ways. Tricolor journeys and the resolution to hoist the tricolor in every house have connected this auspicious occasion to the masses. The Chief Minister said that this tricolor journey is not just an event, but a living symbol of our unity, integrity and national pride. He said that Independence Day reminds us that freedom is an invaluable gift of countless sacrifices. Lakhs and crores of patriots sacrificed their lives, then we got this freedom. The Chief Minister said that today’s special occasion reminded me of my childhood days. When I was in school, Prabhat Pheris used to come out on Independence Day, patriotic songs used to resonate in the villages. He said that the pride that was felt at that time is still in our hearts today. The Chief Minister said that today it is our responsibility to take our country and state to new heights of development. We have prepared a developed Chhattisgarh vision document for the year 2047, and our government is working accordingly. This is a shared resolution of all of us along with the government. Chief Minister Shri Sai extended his advance wishes of Independence Day to everyone present on this occasion. In the program, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Shri Tankram Verma said that the Independence run is not just a run but a response to the struggle for freedom. The country has got freedom from the sacrifices of brave sons. Following the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for a developed, clean, healthy and best India, our Chief Minister has also nurtured the dream of a developed and prosperous Chhattisgarh. He said that resolve to give your invaluable contribution to fulfill this dream. During this, MLA Shri Purandar Mishra, MLA Shri Motilal Sahu, MLA Guru Khushwant Saheb, MLA Shri Anuj Sharma, District Panchayat President Shri Naveen Agarwal, Secretary of Sports and Youth Welfare Department Shri Yashwant Kumar were present.
