*Inauguration of Jashpur Express on Raksha Bandhan: Gift of e-rickshaws to 12 Didis of Bihan*
Raipur, August 9, 2025/ On the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai inaugurated the Jashpur Express from his home village Bagia in Jashpur district and presented e-rickshaws as gifts to 12 Didis associated with the Bihan scheme. On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai himself traveled around the Bagia Niwas complex by sitting in the e-rickshaw of Smt. Gilsonika Pandey, a woman from a self-help group.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that this e-rickshaw is not only environment-friendly but also has low operating costs. With this, women will become self-reliant by participating in local transport services and will be able to better fulfill the needs of their families. Extending greetings and best wishes on Raksha Bandhan, he said that our government is fully committed to the safety and support of all the sisters of Chhattisgarh. This e-rickshaw distribution has been done only to empower and make the sisters of the self-help group self-reliant.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that his government is rapidly implementing Modi’s guarantee. The work of 18 lakh houses sanctioned under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is being completed at a rapid pace. Along with this, eligible families with 5 acres of un-irrigated land, 2.50 acres of irrigated land, two-wheelers and a monthly income of Rs 15,000 will also be benefited under the Awas Plus Plus scheme.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Rs 1000 per month is being given to 70 lakh sisters through the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. To increase the income of tendu leaf collectors, the support price of tendu leaves has been fixed at Rs 5500 per standard bag. Atal Digital Suvidha Kendras are being established to provide banking facilities in the villages, which will be started in all gram panchayats on the upcoming Panchayat Diwas.
The Chief Minister said that for the convenience of the general public, the registration process has been made more transparent, simple, digital, and citizen-centric under 10 new revolutions in the registry. Bus services have been started under the Chief Minister’s Rural Bus Scheme in remote and inaccessible areas. He informed that medical colleges, natural medicine and physiotherapy centers, government nursing colleges, and government physiotherapy colleges will be opened to expand health facilities in the district.
It was informed in the program that the e-rickshaws will be operated by women operators on various routes of the district. Pratima Bhagat in Pharsabahar will operate on the Pharsabahar-Kandaihar-Amdiha-Tapkara route, Madanvati on the Lawakera-Amdiha-Purainbandh-Samdama-Tapkara route, Rajkumari Painkra on the Tapkara-Kandaihar-Tuba-Pharsabahar route, and Urmila Bhagat on the Khutgaon-Singibahar-Sajbahar-Tapkara route. Similarly, in Duldula, Bindeshwari Devi will operate on the Kosa-Duldula-Vipatpur-Chherdaand route, Parvati Sai on the Kosa-Duldula-Patratoli-Loro-Bamhni route, Sangeeta Devi on the Chherdaand-Loro-Bamhni-Kastura route, and Bimla Devi on the Chherdaand-Duldula-Loro-Patratoli route. In Kansabel, Gilsonika Pandey will operate on the Tangargaon-Hathgada-Kansabel route, Tiyaso Painkra on the Basbahar-Dokda-Pusra-Khuntitoli-Kansabel route, Neeta Rawani on the Katangkhar-Dokda-Bandarchunwa-Kansabel route, and Angavati Bai Devari on the Deori-Dokda-Chhatabar-Kansabel route.
