Raipur / Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai today participated in the Shri Shri Raneshwar Ramchandi Temple Consecration Festival organized by the Kolta society in village Jhagarpur of Lailunga development block of Raigarh district. The program was organized in the premises of Swami Atmanand Government Hindi Medium Higher Secondary School Jhagarpur, where the office bearers of the society gave a warm welcome to Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai by adorning him with traditional garlands and applying tilak.
On the occasion of the consecration of Shri Shri Raneshwar Ramchandi Temple, Chief Minister Mr. Sai offered prayers at the feet of Mother Ramchandi and wished for the happiness, prosperity, and well-being of the people of the state. He said that he felt spiritual peace coming to this holy land of Jhagarpur. This temple is not only a symbol of faith but also a strong symbol of the society’s cultural consciousness and unity. The Chief Minister said that the soul of India resides in its culture and traditions. Where women are respected, God resides. Calling parents the true God, he said that if parents are happy, all gods and goddesses are happy. The Chief Minister urged everyone to maintain respect and service towards the elders in their homes.
Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that the state government is working with a commitment to good governance, transparency, and development. For this, e-governance has been launched, and continuous action is being taken against corruption. He informed that most of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi’s guarantees have been fulfilled within 18 to 19 months of the government being formed. Farmers were given pending bonus for two years, the limit of paddy procurement was increased from 15 quintals to 21 quintals per acre, and the support price was fixed at Rs 3100 per quintal.
He said that under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, women are being provided assistance of Rs 1,000 per month. 18 lakh houses have been approved under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Schemes like Landless Laborer Assistance Scheme, tendu leaf procurement at Rs 5,500 per standard bag, Ramlala Darshan Yojana, and Chief Minister Tirtha Darshan Yojana are being operated in public interest.
Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that Chhattisgarh is a state rich in resources, and with public cooperation and the right use of resources, we are writing new chapters of development. ‘Chhattisgarhiya Sabale Badhiya’ is not just a slogan, but our work culture.
Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi today launched two major schemes costing Rs 35,440 crore – the Pradhan Mantri Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana and the Pulses Self-Reliance Mission. These schemes are historic steps towards increasing the income of the country’s farmers and making the agriculture sector self-reliant. The Chief Minister said that continuous efforts are being made for the strengthening of irrigation facilities, increase in agricultural production, and rural prosperity in the state. He informed that new transparency and accountability have been brought into the governance system by reforming the land registry system. He said that our aim is not just to create schemes, but to ensure their benefits reach the last person. Public trust is our biggest asset.
Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai announced the construction of a community hall in Jhagarpur for Rs 25 lakh, a community hall for the Kolta society at the development block headquarters Lailunga for Rs 25 lakh, the construction of the Kunjara-Tolge-Milupara road for Rs 50 crore, the construction of a stop dam cum causeway in the river in ward number 5 Patelpara for Rs 2.5 crore, the construction of a bridge over the Kharun river in Lailunga-Kunjara to Gamekela for Rs 10 crore, and the construction of a new building for the Government Girls High School in ward number 11. The Chief Minister said that the government is dedicated to the welfare of every section of society. The blessings and cooperation of the Kolta society have always been a source of inspiration.
Finance Minister Mr. O. P. Chaudhary said that it is the fortune of the state to have the leadership of such a public servant who is continuously working for the welfare of every class. He said that the Chief Minister, just 12 days after assuming office, paid Rs 3,716 crore bonus to 13 lakh farmers. The limit of paddy procurement was fixed at 21 quintals per acre and the price at Rs 3,100 per quintal. More than 18 lakh poor families in the state are being benefited under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
Finance Minister said that Chhattisgarh is the land of Mata Kaushalya and Lord Shriram is the nephew of this land. This is our cultural identity and pride. He said that Chief Minister Mr. Sai’s focus is on the all-round development of every region of the state. The Chief Minister is fully aware of the needs of Lailunga and surrounding areas, and all development-related works of the region will be completed in a phased manner.
The welcome address was given by District Panchayat member Mr. Brijesh Gupta, who highlighted the historical traditions of the Kolta society and the unity of its 120 sub-castes. At the end of the program, Mr. Rathulal Gupta expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister and all the guests.
