New train facility for passengers: Railway Minister informs Chief Minister by letter
Raipur, August 1, 2025/ Chhattisgarh is going to get another big gift in the field of rail services. Union Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnav has informed Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai by writing a letter that the Raipur-Jabalpur new express train will be flagged off on August 3, 2025.
Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnav informed that the Government of India is fully committed to strengthening railway services and infrastructure in Chhattisgarh. Currently, various railway projects are in progress in the state at a cost of ₹44,657 crore. In the 2025 budget, a record ₹6,925 crore has been approved for Chhattisgarh.
32 railway stations of Chhattisgarh are being equipped with world-class facilities, out of which 5 stations were recently inaugurated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Along with this, the operation of two Vande Bharat trains is also already going on in Chhattisgarh, which are examples of the ‘Make in India’ initiative.
The Raipur-Jabalpur express train will not only make travel easier between Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, but it will also give new momentum to trade, tourism and social contact. Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, while expressing gratitude to Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnav, has said that with the cooperation of the central government, the expansion of the rail network in the state is happening rapidly, due to which the public is getting the benefit of convenient and modern rail services.
