A devastating event in Balrampur, Chhattisgarh, claimed the lives of a woman and her two-year-old son when they were swept away by an overflowing drain while returning from her parental home. The incident took place in Sahi Tongri village, under the jurisdiction of the Shankargarh police station. The village is now in mourning due to the loss of the mother and child.

The Shankargarh police responded promptly upon receiving the news. After an extensive rescue operation, the bodies of the mother and son were retrieved from the water. The bodies were subsequently sent for post-mortem examination, and the family members were informed.
